Biotechnological production of value added compounds

Category: IM Seminar

We cordially invite you to the institute seminar: on next Monday, 24th of January at 2 pm Prof. Łukasz Drewniak from the Department of Environmental Microbiology and Biotechnology will present a seminar entitled „ Biotechnological production of value added compounds”.

Abstract: The presentation concerns the main assumptions of the project implemented under the New Ideas program at the IDUB initiative. The aim of the project is to use metabolic modeling (mainly flux blance analysis) to optimize the bioproduction of value added compounds from the agri-food by-products and waste. The detailed objectives of the project include (1) biochemical and genomic characterization of 3 psychrotolerant bacteria and 3 fungi and (2) metabolic modeling to increase the production efficiency of selected metabolites.
